«In the valley»
Tekst: Joakim Solbakken Musikk: Joakim Solbakken
Opened my eyesAbout to realize
I’ve lost track of time
But I heard a beautiful sound
In the back of my mind
Watched the streams
The translucent green
So quiet so serene
It grows and sprouts underneath my feet
I heard, those tunes
Out of the blue
It paused my heart
Cause we can’t prevail
IF we run before we tie our shoes..
Swo I went down to the water
Just to sit there for a moment
Tried to gather my emotions
At the sound of the ocean
To see if I can find
Some peace of mind
A holy hopeful morning
A mighty moment of glory
A lucky part of my story
I forgot where I was blowing
Just going where the wind could bear me
I am so little
compared to all of this
I’m playing second fiddle
To scared to be leading it
As the grass needs dirt grow
I’m sure my flaws has made me strong
I don’t know
When I heard those birds
flap their wings, it paused my heart
Cause we can’t prevail
If we run before we know the truth
So I went down to the water
Try to hold hands with my daughter
And to hold on and be grounded
To the ones I am surrounded by
Too see if I can find some peace of mind
