«Stolen Car»
Tekst: Anne Fagermo Musikk: Anne Fagermo
Behind the factory on the edge of townThey found the stolen car
It went missing on a saturday in may
And nobody even cared to look our way
Desperate to be lovers in the night
They’re only looking in bright daylight
I played harmonica for hours in june
And I learned to play some blues too
Now I don’t know where you are
And I don’t know how you’ve been
But I wander in these streets
Smiling at their feet
It was him it was her it was everybody around us
They didn’t even care to look at us
They didn’t even care to look at us
Summer evenings fancy clothes
In the street we danced slow
Oh how my lonely heart healed In July
Darling you did everything right
Behind that factory on the edge of town
She left me and the car
Oh how I begged her to stay
But she was already on her way
Now I know where you are
And I guess you’ve been good
I still wander down these streets
I Hope we never meet
It was him
It was her
It was everybody around us
You didn’t even care to look at me
Didn’t even care to look at me
It was him
It was her
It was everybody around us
You didn’t even care to look at me
Didn’t even care to look at me
It was him
It was her
It was everybody around us
They didn’t even care to look at us
They didn’t even care to look at us
It was him
It was her
It was everybody around us
They didn’t even care to look at us
They didn’t even care to look at us
