«The Woodstock Generation Passing On»
Tekst: Tom Pacheco Musikk: Tom Pacheco
Our hair is turning grey or getting more bald every dayOur teeth are disconnecting from our gums
Our bodies tight as cellos now are turning into jello
And we wake with aches and pains when morning comes
We finally hit the age when the obituary page
Is the first page that we turn to when we read
We who outlived Jimi Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison and Elvis
Will be joining them wherever they may be
We’re the aging baby boomers
Getting heart attacks and tumors
We’re the Woodstock generation passing on
According to the rumors
We’re all Vicodin consumers
But we’ll always have our humor
And we’ll always have our songs
We’re forgetful I am told, was it all those joints we rolled
When we put our car keys in the microwave
When we lose our coffee cup that our fingers just filled up
And we find it in the freezer the next day
We’re the aging baby boomers
Getting heart attacks and tumors
We’re the Woodstock generation passing on
According to the rumors
We’re all Percoset consumers
But we’ll always have our humor
And we’ll always have our songs
For most of us there’s time, many rainbows yet to shine
Sparkling sunsets of pure wonder still in sight
And we’ve had a damn good ride we brought change and turned some tides
We protested wars and fought for human rights
We’re the aging baby boomers
Getting heart attacks and tumors
We’re the Woodstock generation passing on
According to the rumors
We’re all Valium consumers
But we’ll always have our humor
And we’ll always have our songs
